4 Elegant Ways to Shower the Bride With Wine

When you say “yes” to being a bridesmaid, you’re not just agreeing to stand up for the bride at her wedding, but you’re agreeing to help plan the bachelorette party and the bridal shower.

The bachelorette party is usually pretty easy to plan. Raucous fun and a night on the town? Even the most inexperienced planner can tackle that. But the bridal shower is a whole other event. The bride’s co-workers and family are going to be there, and her Grandma Betty will be expecting elegance and class at her granddaughter’s shower.

The stakes are higher, for sure.

Don’t panic. Take a deep breath. It’s not as overwhelming as it seems because every question you have about how to class up the event and throw a beautiful, elegant party has one simple answer.

The answer is wine.

And we’re not just talking about the wine itself, but the bottle it comes in. By serving wine and using the bottles as decorations at your party, you’re taking your party to the next level. We’ve gotten your party planning off to a great start with these four ways you can use wine and wine bottles to make all the difference at the shower.

Make Magnificent Mimosas

Set up a stunning station where the bride and her shower guests can start the party off right with a delicate mimosa that they craft themselves. The traditional mimosa has equal parts sparkling wine and orange juice, but you can swap any kind of citrus juice in place of the orange juice and create a beautiful, light drink. Here’s what you need:

  • Sparkling wine – We have a fantastic selection of champagne that will be the base of all of your mimosas. And after you have picked the one you like, personalize the bottles with engraved quotes about marriage on the front to entertain the guests, and for the bride to keep as decoration in her new home.
  • Citrus juices – Use several of our elegant decanters or carafes to hold the different types of citrus juice that the guests will mix with the sparkling wine. Engrave the decanter with the type of juice that you’re putting in it, or maybe have a little fun and write a message like, “ORANGE you glad she said yes?” (to hold the orange juice) or “Don’t let the MANGO, marry him instead!” (to hold the mango juice). It will be a fun keepsake for the bride for years to come.
  • Beautiful Glasses – No mimosa is complete unless it’s in the perfect champagne flute. We have both the stemmed and stemless flutes for you to choose from. Pick the one you like best and then engrave them with the names of the guests or the date of the shower. The guests can each take their glasses home as a favor.

Create Conversation-Starter Centerpieces

Use our beautiful large format bottles as the centerpiece for each table at the shower. Instead of using a picture as a label, engrave a question on the bottle to help start conversation among the guests, questions like “What’s your idea of a perfect date?” or “What’s your favorite romantic meal to share?” Each bottle serves 8 people, so plan your table size around that so that each person can have a glass. The bride-to-be can take the bottles home and have fun answering the questions with her fiancé too.

Find Fun Favors for Family and Friends

As we mentioned, one beautiful favor is an engraved champagne flute. Another great option is our unique mini bottles of wine. Choose a mini version of something you served at the shower so your guests can take home a taste of the party. Pick a fun photo of the bride-to-be to put on each mini-bottle, or create a label that thanks guests for coming and celebrating with the bride-to-be. Because all of our mini bottles cost less than $6/bottle, this is a cost-effective yet beautiful way to impress your guests with a great party favor.

Design Decorative Displays

Use our wine bottles to create beautiful photo displays of the bride through the years and place those displays all around the shower. No matter what your menu is, we have a great selection of red wines, white wines, and rosés to complement all of your food choices. Once you choose your wine, create a picture label for each with a photo of the bride. Place them in groups of three around the shower. Make a trio for her baby years, elementary school years, high school years, college years, and one with photos of her and her fiancé. Place the trios all around the shower venue for a decorative and beautiful display. Everyone can drink the wine and the bride-to-be can keep the bottles.

Throwing a beautiful bridal shower doesn’t have to be stressful or even hard. Start with us, and the makings of a classy, elegant, unique shower are only a few keystrokes away.
